So jabberpy is seriously broken. The latest release (0.5.0) doesn't even have an __init__.py.
A quick "touch" to create the file isn't working either, I just get an error that you can find below. I sent off an email to the list a day ago and so far I've gotten no response. If you aren't familiar with how ml's work in the Open Source world, then you don't know that this is bizarre. This sucks. I really don't get Twisted so unless someone is willing to sit down with me and explain it to me it's not really an option. ARGH. Of course, even the guy that made the jabber protocol support in Twisted doesn't use it. Double ARGH. Help! Anyone have a clue as to what I should do? Any suggestions on how to contact the jabberpy devs or how to fix my __init__.py problem? Perhaps someone out there has used Twisted's jabber code?
Problem: Using the code from yesterdays' DDJ link, I received this error
